About the Department

The Department of Computer Science and Technology at Mallabhum Institute of Polytechnic was established in 2023. The mission of the department is to provide high-quality education in computing and to prepare students for careers in the IT industry. The department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and a team of highly qualified faculty members who continuously strive for academic excellence. Our students actively participate in various technical events, coding competitions, and industry-driven projects, ensuring they stay ahead in the rapidly evolving technological landscape

Activities of the Department:

• The department organizes regular career readiness programs, including resume writing, mock interviews, and soft skills training to prepare students for placement opportunities.
• A structured student mentoring system is in place, where each faculty member mentors a small group of students to support their academic and personal development.
• Skill enhancement workshops are conducted in collaboration with government and private training centres, focusing on practical knowledge in areas like programming, networking, and web development.
• Students receive guidance for competitive exams such as JELET and other lateral entry tests, with special focus sessions and study materials provided.
• Industrial visits and short-term internships are arranged to give students firsthand experience of IT industry work culture and processes.
