Introduction

About the Department

Mechanical Engineering Department came to this institute in 2014. It has strived so that its student excel both in corporate sector and research organization at national and international level. The result itself suffices the evidential proof since 2014. The department is providing the state of the art infrastructure in all laboratories. The students are being trained to be familiar with software tools like Auto CAD, CATIA, and Autodesk Inventor. The experienced and competent faculty members and technical supports staff of this Department are relentlessly exerting themselves for imparting updated knowledge to the students. The students are given exposure to industrial project works, seminars and conferences.

Activities of the Department:

• Pre- placement training sessions conducted by the Department for preparing the 
• students to face job interviews and making them ready for corporate sector.
• Every individual faculty members is responsible for mentoring 10-15 students each under his supervision.
• Central Tool Room & Training Centre, Kolkata (MSME, Govt. of India) has entered into a long term association with the Department to conduct various skill development programmes.
• The technical knowledge enhancement programme for Mechanical Engineering students to prepare them for appearing JELET, AMIE and others competitive examinations.
• Undertaking regular Industrial Visit and Vocational Training programmes for the students
